Located in downtown, the discovery district has an outdoor plaza, including a food hall. We recommend trying Chilangos Tacos!
We recommend Deep Ellum for two of the best BBQ spots in Dallas. Sam recommends Pecan Lodge (https://pecanlodge.com/) and Paulina recommends Terry Black's BBQ (https://terryblacksbbq.com/). After you eat, you can walk around Deep Ellum and enjoy a variety of shops and restaurants. Visit Emporium Pies for delicious pie! A short Uber from downtown.
Klyde Warren Park is a public park right next to downtown. It's set above a freeway in Dallas and has a variety of outdoor activities. You can eat at the food trucks (Andy's Frozen Custard is a favorite) or get a Mambo Taxi from Mi Cocina.
Hop on the McKinney Avenue Trolley in Downtown and stop in Uptown/West Village. Paulina and Sam live right next West Village and it is a great area for food and shopping.
The Museum, located within the former Texas School Book Depository building, chronicles the assassination and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. It's one of the most interesting and engaging museums. We highly recommend!
The Dallas St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival will be in Lower Greenville on Saturday, March 14th. It's always very crowded but a fun time! A short Uber from downtown.
