Aaron and Paulina met in Austin, TX in May 2019. They both knew it was meant to be from the start and thought to themselves, “This is the one!” The two dated long distance for several months. Aaron would frequently visit El Paso, TX. Paulina even visited Denver, CO from time to time. However, they both agreed that the distance between them was getting more difficult. Each ‘goodbye’ was harder than the last. Together, they made the decision to take the next step in their relationship. Paulina was offered employment, packed her belongings, and moved to Denver! Aaron y Paulina se conocieron en Austin en Mayo del 2019. Desde el principio, ambos sintieron esa química y pensaron para sí mismos “aquí me quedo”. Empezaron su relación a larga distancia y por varios meses así la mantuvieron. Aaron visitaba muy frecuentemente El Paso, y Paulina de vez en cuando también viajaba a Denver. Sin embargo, la distancia y cada despedida eran cada vez más difíciles. Así que, juntos, tomaron la decisión de llevar su relación a siguiente etapa: Vivir en la misma ciudad. Paulina recibió una oferta de empleo, empacó sus maletas y se mudó a Denver!

As you know, things were crazy last year... very crazy. So in the middle of that entire crisis, the two decided on a civil marriage! Due to COVID-19, the court house was closed to the public and only working remotely. That’s right! They couldn't even be present at their own ceremony. All required documents were signed and submitted through the mail. YES, they literally got married through the mail. The court then mailed the documents back with the ‘official stamp.’ This, of course, was untraditional; however, they wouldn’t have it any other way. Como todos saben, el año pasado las cosas se pusieron locas... muy locas. Así que en medio de toda la crisis pandémica, Aaron y Paulina decidieron casarse! Sin embargo, como fue cuando COVID recién inició la corte estaba cerrada al público y trabajando de manera remota. Todo fue por correo postal. Así es, se casaron por medio de correo. Llenaron y firmaron las formas requeridas y las dejaron en el buzón de la corte. Días después, la corte envió de regreso los documentos con el sello oficial. No fue lo más tradicional, pero no lo cambiarían por nada.

Aaron and Paulina now share a beautiful life together in Denver, CO and are living their ‘Happily Ever After’. However, they both would love to have a ceremony with God, family, and friends as their witnesses. Aaron and Paulina look forward to celebrating with each and every one of you!
