Sarasota International Airport (SRQ) is 10 minutes from downtown. The next two closest would be Tampa and Fort Myers airports, about one hour away.
Google these awesome places! Siesta Key Village and Beach, Lido Beach, St. Armand Circle, Ringling Museum, Sarasota Saturday Farmers Market, Marina Jacks Restaurant, O'Leary's Tiki Bar, Blue Rooster for great music, Mattison's 41 for lively night scene and downtown Sarasota Main Street
PARKING:
Due to limited parking that will only be available for elderly and necessary vehicles, we are recommending Ubering to either our wedding venue or driving to one of 2 neighborhood shopping malls (within 2 minutes drive) and taking a Uber/Lyft/taxi from there. Feel free to contact other guests to share rides.

There are some wonderful hotels to stay in Sarasota, but these days I'm more inclined to Airbnb, with many choices available at great rates, including right here at our beaches. If you prefer a hotel experience though, I can recommend one of my favorite "boutique" hotel's near downtown across from the bay. Hotel Indigo is affordable, and unique!
