How We Met

A Hole in One... Kind of...

We met on Bumble—because nothing says modern romance like algorithms and witty bios. After a few charming exchanges, Pauleen thought things were off to a great start. And then… Todd vanished. Poof. Gone. No texts. No updates. Just radio silence. After a week of wondering if he’d been abducted by aliens or joined a silent monastery, Pauleen sent a message: “Did you die?” Turns out, he hadn’t. He was just being a little slow on the reply. But that message cracked the ice, and from that moment on, they never stopped talking. Their first date was at a mini golf course—a place where love and laughter are par for the course. Todd claims Pauleen was late. Pauleen maintains she was parking (we're still debating). When Pauleen arrived, Todd greeted her with a smile, tried to put a wristband on her wrist, and somehow turned it into a full-blown fumble. In a moment of sheer panic, he handed her the wristband to put on herself and offered her a handshake. Yes, a handshake. She laughed. He was sweating. And just like that, the awkwardness melted away. We spent the evening navigating koi fish, dodging fake art sculptures, and pretending not to keep score (though he definitely did). After mini golf, we grabbed dinner and discovered the magic of hot honey pizza—a spicy-sweet revelation that somehow mirrored the spark between us. From that night on, it was game over. Mini golf and hot honey pizza became our unofficial tradition, and that first date turned into countless adventures, inside jokes, and a love that feels like home. Now, we’re getting married—and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!
