Sarah was insistent on staying in, claiming she could use more CPA study hours. Paul was fine to ring in the new year playing video games from the comfort of his own bedroom. These were "COVID" days after all... But through a combination of nine months in quarantine, too many hours studying, and a little arm-twisting from their family and friends, the two were off to a New Year's Eve party at the same location. After all, Sydney, Sarah's younger sister, and Leo, Paul's cousin, were already attending. The intimate basement hangout at Sydney's friend Sharon's house quickly turned into a successful set-up. After a few sips of champagne and a few hours of one-on-one conversation, Paul boldly asked if Sarah would be his kiss at midnight. Sarah couldn't say no! When the clock struck twelve, they shared their first New Year's Kiss. Little did they know that in about two years and ten months, there would be another question Sarah couldn't say no to. Sarah and Paul saw each other every day the month of January 2021 and he officially asked her to be his girlfriend on February 4th, 2021. The two learned everything about each other, including the fact that they went to the same middle school, I.S.75, without ever crossing paths. In their almost three years of dating, they earned degrees, embarked on their first careers, traveled around multiple states, islands, and seas, and indulged in lots of sushi. On October 6th, 2023, Paul got down on one knee in Central Park and asked Sarah to marry him. Sarah, of course, couldn't say no. They look forward to celebrating their love with you at the Park Chateau on November 30th, 2025!
