Our love story can certainly be described as a whirlwind turn of events. The first date was on February 18, 2020 after a few exchanges on Hinge after the Super Bowl. We originally were to meet closer to Sarah’s office, but in typical fashion she had changed her mind and asked to meet in the Upper West Side. Paul patiently waited in front of Owl’s Tail while Sarah was fashionably late. Paul realized the location was too loud (or as kids now say - the vibe was off). As soon as we met on the corner of 75 & Amsterdam, the decision was made to grab drinks at Dive 75. Third time was the charm, as we had a great conversation near the infamous fish tank. Most importantly, Paul completely understood Sarah’s reference of Trainwreck’s use of the great Billy Joel song, “A Matter of Trust.” Meanwhile, headlines of an impending pandemic started to pop up while we went on a few dates but we didn’t think much of it. The day before NYC mandated a shut down Paul and Sarah were attending the Big East Conference. An event that had been on Sarah’s list for awhile. During a break for the St. John’s game, Paul introduced Sarah to members of the “Bocce Crew.” Thereafter, it was announced that Tom Hanks had COVID-19 and the tournament at MSG would forego fans. The world and our thriving City life that we loved had turned upside down. Despite the panic and fear, Paul and Sarah found each other in the absolute right moment. Some may call it fate. The memories we have made over the last 3 years are absolutely priceless. We have gone through life’s tragedies and loss, and always seem to bring the best out of each other. September 16, 2023 can’t come soon enough and we’re thrilled to share love, celebration and happy tears with you all!
