We're FINALLY getting married!

We met in high school- our sophomore year to be exact. We had quite a few mutual friends, so we were able to get to know each other relatively well, but we were not particularly close. Towards the end of our sophomore year, people were buzzing about who they were going to take to prom. The person that I (Phoebe) was going to go with ended up canceling on me, so I was just going to go alone and avoid the drama. However, Paul heard that I no longer had a date and mustered up the courage to ask me to go with him. When he asked, I thought, “He’s a good guy, I know I can trust him and that he won't cause drama (all of which turned out to be true).” So, I said yes. When I told my friends, they said,” You know he has like the biggest crush on you, right??” Nope, I had no idea that he even liked me. We went to prom together in June of 2015 and started dating a few months later. We have been dating ever since, so it’s been a little over five years now. We talked a lot about getting married but ran into quite a few obstacles along the way. By the grace of God, we were able to overcome them, and on January 1st, 2021, Paul asked me to be his wife. So, 5+ years of our story have already been written, but there are many more years to come!
