Our Story

This is a thrilling story, very capturing. We met online, Paige risked her life with the first meeting at Paul’s house. Riker saved the day with making it less awkward. Paul definitely was himself and did not stop talking which was good because Paige was way too nervous. Paul had just a small love seat in his living room but then ended up buying a massive sectional. Just for Paige. No one else. Paul was to sit on the ground or a kitchen chair for the remainder of the time. Paul did eventually buy me my dream dog, a beautiful Saint Bernard. Bucky is the best monster in town. Walks and hikes became more of a thing for us. We took a weekend trip to Crawfordsville, IN where we stayed in the best yurt inspired cabin (lemme know if you would like the airbnb link) that was just thirty minutes from Turkey Run State Park. Just so you know, a moderate/easy route there is not moderate/easy. It is hard, especially with puppies. When I said that I wanted to sit down, Paul took that opportunity to pull the most beautiful ring from his backpack and proposed. We almost lost the dogs but thankfully were able to grab their leashes in time. On Christmas, driving to my sister Nicole’s house for Christmas Supper, we talked about the wedding and our plans for what that would look like when we just decided then and there that we wanted to elope with just us at first and then celebrate with family later on. I texted Aunt Missey immediately and we set out the plan to elope that following Thursday, December 30, 2021, in front of the Christmas tree. A short engagement, but lots and lots of love. Paul has given me many things over the time we have been together. We can’t wait to celebrate our love with everyone who has loved and supported us through it all!
