Dean Village
Starting off strong with what might be our favorite spot in the city — Dean Village. This is where we got engaged! It's a peaceful picturesque area somewhat tucked away. Stunning views anywhere you look.
Water of Leith Walkway
Beautiful trail along the river that leads right to Dean Village if you come from New Town.
Edinburgh Castle
An icon. We love her. If you're interested in a tour be sure to get tickets beforehand!
Circus Lane
Located in New Town, a wonderful street to walk. Water of Leith Walkway is not far from here so a great place to explore!
Greyfriars Kirkyard
Open 24 hours a day, one of the world's most famous cemeteries, and an interesting place to walk. If you're into Harry Potter you'll find some familiar names here. Greyfriar's Bobby is also right next door!
The Vennel Viewpoint
Excellent view of the castle! Popular tourist attraction, easy to get to if you don't mind a small mountain of stairs and lingering crowds. If you're a morning person this is the ideal time to visit!
Arthur's Seat
A short steep hike uphill for amazing views of the city!
Black Medicine Coffee Co
Our favorite coffee shop! They have great food, too. It has the coolest interior. I recommend following their instagram, they have the cutest goblin illustrations!
Bennetts Bar
This was the first spot we grabbed dinner and instantly became an all time favorite. It's a bit of a walk from the heart of the city, but a bus will take you right to it (I recommend 16 Torphin). Fantastic pizza and top tier vibes.
The Outsider Restaurant
Great spot for a nice dinner! Excellent food, and an excellent view of the castle if you're seated by the window toward the back.
The White Hart Inn
One of the oldest pub's in Edinburgh, located in Grassmarket. Great food, great drinks, great vibes.
The Witchery
Located right by the castle on the Royal Mile, everything about this restaurant is stunning.
