Things to do (and eat!)

The Wedding Website of Marina Gidalevich and Paul Rosenfeld
We're so excited to share some of Chicago's classics for food and holiday activities! Although it's the windy city, December in Chicago is one of the most beautiful times to be here! Bundle up and explore some of the suggestions below or many of the other amazing sights to see and places to eat. If you need any recommendations, reach out to Marina and Paul - we'd love to give you any suggestions and favorite spots that we couldn't fit on the list!

Lou Malnati's Pizzeria

410 Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611
, (312) 858-5600

If you're looking for deep dish pizza in Chicago - this your spot! Paul's favorite deep dish in the city (make sure you also get the house salad with Lou's famous salad dressing, we know it sounds weird to get a salad at a pizza place, but trust us, this is Paul's signature move)!

RPM Steak

66 West Kinzie Street, Chicago, IL 60654
, (312) 284-4990

Our favorite Chicago steakhouse (and there's no shortage of them in Chicago). Visit any of the RPM restaurants (RPM Steak, RPM Italian, RPM Seafood and Pizzeria Portofino) all within walking distance of the hotel!

Au Cheval

800 West Randolph Street, Chicago, IL 60607
, (312) 929-4580

For the best burger, look no further than Au Cheval! Reservations are not accepted so make sure to come early as there's usually a wait.

Do-Rite Donuts & Chicken

181 North Morgan Street, Chicago, IL 60607
, (312) 624-8878

If you know Marina, you know she has to have dessert after dinner (or any time of day!). For some of the couple's favorite donuts, visit Do-Rite, you can't go wrong with any of the flavors. While in West Loop, explore the amazing food scene with tons of bars and restaurants!

Portillo's Hot Dogs

100 West Ontario Street, Chicago, IL 60654
, (312) 587-8910

For your fill of Italian Beef, Chicago hot dogs and a chocolate cake shake head to Portillos, a Chicago classic!

Sweetgreen

623 North State Street, Chicago, IL 60654
, (312) 374-8173

It may be a chain, but it wouldn't be us if we didn't give you a salad spot on this list! For those looking for a healthy meal between the holiday dinners, stop at Sweetgreen for all the kale you can eat!

Millennium Park

Chicago, IL

Millenium park is beautiful any time of year, but in the winter feel free to visit the Ice Skating rink and the Maggie Daley Ice Skating ribbon. Marina always tries to convince Paul to come ice skating (without much success), so after you go be sure to tell Paul that you had zero wipeouts!

The Bean

Chicago, IL 60601

Cloud Gate (better known as the Bean) is located right near Millenium park and is a must see sculpture if it's your first time in Chicago. Get ready to take some pics in the Bean's mirrored reflection. If you prefer to stay warm and sightsee from inside, make sure to stop for brunch at Cindy's at the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel where you'll get a fabulous view of the Bean and Millenium Park while you eat.

Lincoln Park Zoo

2001 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60614
, (312) 742-2000

During the holidays, attend Zoo Lights at the Lincoln Park Zoo! In the evenings the Zoo is lit up with a lights display throughout and stay warm with a hot chocolate as you walk through.

Michigan Avenue

Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL

Experience the holiday lights and decorations, especially around the Wrigley Building and see the views of the river and bridges through Chicago while walking down Michigan Avenue. While you're at it, do some shopping, stop into the Starbucks Reserve Roastery or grab a bite at the cozy Ralph Lauren (RL) Restaurant.
