It didn’t take long for us to realize something was different—when the first date stretched to five hours (this is where the squeaky bike was introduced) and the second date somehow topped eight, we figured we’d each found someone who could not only keep up, but really enjoy the ride. Those early days quickly filled with adventure—hiking, biking, paddling, and something we now refer to as “scouting” (which mostly looks like hiking… but with binoculars). Somewhere between the outdoor adventures and splitting that last margarita, it became clear this was more than just good company. We learned pretty quickly that “dirt church” and adventures are always better when you have someone you love by your side. And somewhere along the way—specifically in Nashville, Tennessee - over a couple of old fashioneds (where Paul does some of his finest communicating, and Kota demonstrates an impressive level of patience for storytelling)—we said “I love you” for the first time. And that was just the beginning. In true fashion, our wedding will reflect the places we feel most at home. We’ll be heading into the backcountry for a small, private ceremony. After backpacking into the Rawah Wilderness, we’ll share our vows surrounded by the mountains. The hike to the spot is steep, rocky, and a bit of a challenge… but the views are spectacular. The good news? You don’t have to make the trek. Please join us on October 10th as we celebrate the beginning of our next chapter together. While the ceremony itself will be a private moment, we can’t wait to gather with all of you - the people who have been such an important part of our lives along the way. Our reception will be a chance to truly share in the moment together, celebrating over great food and drinks, games, and of course - time on the dance floor. We’re so excited to spend the day surrounded by laughter, stories, and the people who mean the most to us as we kick off this next adventure.
