Paul and I were friends long before we started dating. His high school friends became my friends in college. After I graduated and Paul moved to the Twin Cities, we were on a intramural softball league together which is where we started to get to know each other. After years of fun as friends, Paul and I decided to try our hand at this whole dating thing...turns out we are pretty good at it!

Kristina and I went to the North Shore for our first anniversary. We were looking for a fun weekend away but little did we know how much we would love it up there. When I decided that I was going to propose, I knew that it had to be at the North Shore. After getting the ring and asking her parents, we planned a trip to Two Harbors for our second anniversary. That weekend, we were hiking at Gooseberry Falls State Park down by Lake Superior shore. I saw a bench overlooking the lake and I knew that was the spot! Nobody was around, so we hiked over to the bench and I got down on one knee...she said yes!
