↠ ↠ ↠ FLYING Fly into Bangor, ME, Portland, ME, or Boston, MA. Then rent a car to drive to the Blue Hill Peninsula. From Bangor, it's a 1.5-hour drive to Deer Isle and Stonington. From Portland, it's about a 3-hour drive. From Boston, it's a 5-hour drive. DRIVING Our top tips from many long drives to Maine: 1. Leave EARLY in the morning to beat traffic. This is crucial if driving from NYC. 2. From Brunswick, take Route 1 for a gorgeous last leg of the trip and cute stops. 3. Our favorite stop is Morse's Sauerkraut in Waldoboro. The cheese guy hooks it up! We highly recommend a car for getting around the Peninsula. There's a lot to explore, but public transportation is slim to none. TRAIN Take the Amtrak to Portland or Brunswick and rent a car to enjoy the scenic ride up the coast. ↠ ↠ ↠ Please ask us all your questions! We want to help.

Accommodations & Shuttle Bus

↠ ↠ ↠ We strongly encourage you to reserve your stay as soon as possible. August is one of the busiest months in Maine and rooms are already booking up fast. We recommend staying in Stonington or Deer Isle to be close to Aragosta. You can also stay in Sedgwick, Brooklin, Brooksville, or Blue Hill. Just be prepared to travel 25-35 minutes to and from the wedding. The welcome party on Friday will take place at Tinder Hearth in Brooksville, about 30-40 minutes from Deer Isle and Stonington. There will be shuttle buses on Saturday between Aragosta and the main locations where guests will be staying. Shuttle times and details coming soon. ↠ ↠ ↠ Here are some great places to stay:
