Hi everyone! We are so excited for our wedding weekend in Ireland and for all of you to celebrate with us. This wedding will be a little different from what some of you might be used to with 2 nights and 2 separate locations! DAY 0 (optional): FRIDAY- SEPTEMBER 18th, 2026 - Time TBD Paul and Katie will be at Ulysses Bar (Lobby bar of the Greville Arms) for casual drinks Friday night. All are welcome! DAY 1: SATURDAY- SEPTEMBER 19TH, 2026 @ 7:00 PM It was important for us to have our first formal night of celebrations in Mullingar, where Paul's family currently lives, so we could show our favorite people one of our favorite places! Our Welcome Dinner will take place at Caffrey's Bar in Mullingar. There will be food, music, and of course, craic. We have blocked rooms at the Greville Arms Hotel which is a short 3 mins walk to Caffrey's. There are also rooms available at the Martins Lane Guesthouse, directly across the street from the Greville Arms. There are also many AirBNB options within the town of Mullingar. DAY 2: SUNDAY- SEPTEMBER 20TH, 2026 @ 3:00 PM Wedding day! Our wedding will take place at Ballymagarvey Village, near Ashbourne Co. Meath, an hour drive from Mullingar. A shuttle from Mullingar to Ballymagarvey Village and Ashbourne House will be provided upon check-out on the 20th, for those who do not have a rental car. Additionally, shuttles between Ashbourne House and Ballymagarvey will be provided. Paul and/or Katie will be in touch with guests regarding day of wedding accommodation.
All guests will need to be wedding ready upon leaving Mullingar. At both accommodations, there is no hotel check-in before the ceremony. For those staying at Ashbourne House, you will be able to drop your bags before we shuttle you to the venue in time for the ceremony. For those staying at Ballymagarvey, you will drop your bags with reception before the ceremony. After the ceremony you will be able to check into your rooms and quickly get settled before enjoying cocktail hour.
Dublin Airport will be the best place to fly into. We do strongly encourage guests to rent a car for the weekend. And, yes, for the Americans, they do drive on the other side of the road. Link below might be helpful. https://www.waywardblog.com/ireland-rental-car-driving-guide/
Expect highs to be in the high 50s or low 60s. The ceremony will be held inside.
Dressy Casual for the Welcome Reception. Formal for the Wedding
For the welcome dinner in Mullingar, babies and children are welcome, but please let us know in advance. For the Wedding Ceremony and Reception, we ask that only named invitees attend the event. For those traveling with kids, we will provide possible babysitting options as we gather more information.
