FAQs

Question

Will I need to bring proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test?

Answer

If you want to explore the area at all, yes. New Orleans just released a requirement for all restaurants and many attractions in the city. If you are interested in experiencing the fullness the city has to offer we encourage you to 1. Bring proof of vaccination (many accept photos) or 2. Show a negative PCR test within 72 hours. For more information check out the website: https://ready.nola.gov/incident/coronavirus/safe-reopening/

Question

What about COVID?

Answer

We will be following all New Orleans City Regulations in place in the coming weeks. With the rise in COVID-19 cases, there is now a mask mandate in New Orleans. Please bring your masks and wear them during the service and reception when not eating or drinking. For more information please check out this link: https://ready.nola.gov/incident/coronavirus/safe-reopening/ We know that there is a lot of uncertainty around the situation, so for those who cannot travel, we hope you join us virtually.

Question

What do I do if I can’t make it but still want to participate?

Answer

We would love for you to still join us in celebration and prayer from far away! Please RSVP “no” ASAP! On our wedding day you can view the ceremony via Facebook livestream on the Holy Trinity Cathedral in New Orleans’ Facebook page or YouTube page. Want to send well wishes? Add to our virtual guest book with videos or photos! https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ec5yx4_t0YwMfpe7L670lqry8FKYA9ed?usp=sharing

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We’ll love to celebrate with you however you’re dressed, but dress code is formal. This is your chance to dress in your formal duds, so grab a suit, pull out that formal or cocktail dress and get ready to celebrate!

Question

What will the weather be like in New Orleans in August?

Answer

Hot and humid. Dress comfortably in light clothes to beat the summer heat. Umbrellas are recommended for any surprising August showers.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Indoors with AC!

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures with the clergy. Guests can head straight to the reception where we will be serving beverages.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

As soon as possible! But you’re in the right place. You can RSVP here on our website.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Guests will be responsible for their own transportation but Uber and Lyft are a few great options.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! Head on over to the registry page (a few tabs over on this website). We’re registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and Pottery Barn.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a block of rooms at the Sheraton in Metairie (see the Travel page for details), but there are hundreds of hotels in Metairie and the city of New Orleans. AirBnB or VRBO are other great options.
