The beach is about a 4 hour drive away. If you can spare the extra days, I really recommend spending some time there. You could rent a car from Torreon or take a bus. You can also fly.  There are LOADS of Airbnb options and hotels.

This will take you from downtown to the famous Christ statue in Torreon. You can see the whole city from there.
