Currently (as of February 2021) you must have a negative COVID test within 5 days of travel to the island, along with additional travel insurance. Once you have your test results you must have them uploaded them along with proof of insurance to the Turks and Caicos travel portal to enter. You must also have a negative COVID test to return to the states. Our resort (The Sands) is offering these tests $25 for guests and $50 to non-guests. The requirements may change prior to the wedding, we will update you with what we know, and for the most updated information please visit: https://www.visittci.com/travel-info/turks-and-caicos-coronavirus-covid-19
Wear what you would normally wear to a wedding, but keep in mind both the ceremony and reception will take place in the sand. We recommend shoes that you can take off as soon as you arrive, and nothing that will be ruined if it gets some sand (and maybe ocean water) on it!
We chose the hotel because it is in walking distance of the ceremony and reception. If you prefer to rent a house (which is a great option!) we recommend it, but keep in mind that you will have to organize your own transportation to and from events. The uber and cab situation in Turks is not very robust so keep that in mind as you make a decision.
No, the island does not have uber but they do have a local option - Conch Cab! Visit their website for more info -https://conch.cab/
YES! We have both recommendations of things we have done personally and things that were recommended to us by islanders and tourists. Please see the "things to do" tab, or below in FAQ for additional recs. Because of the way this site works some of these are difficult to read, so we are happy to send you an email with all of the info! Just let us know!

PLEASE bring (or purchase on island, but it will be much more expensive) reef safe sunscreen if you plan to snorkel or be in the water. Many of the boat charters will require it! Many sunscreens on the market now bleach the coral reefs - look for the ingredients Oxybenzone and octinoxate to know what to avoid.
