Quick back story, We were supposed to be on a flight to Toronto, but had to cancel our trip. Saddened that we couldn't go to Canada, Paul told me that he would plan a day just for him & I in our new city, West Palm Beach. We did something new-to-us every minute of our day, grabbed coffee, mimosas & breakfast, visited museums & gardens, & then went shopping! It was a perfect day! That evening, Paul told me dress fancy because he had reservations to a REALLY luxurious restaurant. We got ready, called an uber & headed toward the restaurant. When we arrived to the marina, Paul "got a phone call" from the "restaurant" that told him his reservation would be pushed back 20 minutes. He suggested we go around the marina & look at all the boats to kill some time before dinner. As we were walking around the marina & admiring the gorgeous yachts Paul said to one of the captains "wow, your boat is beautiful!". The captain & Paul struck up a conversation & the captain said, "wait...Paul? Paul St. Mary?! It's me 'Guy' from physical therapy, I was your patient!" We all started chatting & the two captains said "hey, do you guys want to go for a boat ride? We haven't ran the boat all day & we're just going to the bridge & back." Paul declined their offer & told them we had dinner reservations, they asked once more, & Paul looked at me & said "do you want to go?" I said "umm YES". We hopped on the gorgeous catamaran & started our sail. The captains gave us blankets & even offered us wine. In disbelief that this was a coincidence I asked Paul if he planned all of this, he laughed & said "Aubrey I promise you I couldn't plan this if I tried". I believed it! An hour into our sail, as the sun started to set on the city, Paul took me to the bow of the boat for a 'picture'. He then turned me to face him & said "Aubrey, OBVIOUSLY this entire thing was planned". Paul spoke about our 8 years of being together & our future. Then, he got down on one knee and popped the question!
