The sooner the better! We kindly request all RSVP's to be submitted by August 1st.
We understand that some of our guests may want to travel with their partners, and we want to ensure everyone has a wonderful time celebrating with us. While we are not offering formal plus ones for the wedding or rehersal dinner, if your partner would like to join you, we recommend booking a room at the Penaferrim Sintra Rooms Hotel. You’ll be able to meet up with them before and after the ceremony, and enjoy some time together during the festivities. We appreciate your understanding and are excited to celebrate with you! Palácio da Fonte Nova, a historical 19th-century palace set in the scenic surroundings of Sintra, showcases a blend of neoclassical and romantic architectural styles typical of the region's noble estates. Originally a private residence, it has been transformed into an event venue, offering a picturesque and charming setting for special occasions. Surrounded by lush gardens and featuring elegantly preserved historical rooms, the palace provides an intimate and refined atmosphere, making it a popular choice for weddings. We’re so excited to celebrate with you! Here’s what we recommend for our formal (black tie optional) wedding: For Men - The groomsmen will be wearing tuxedo's - you are welcome to as well, but it is NOT required. - A dark suit with a tie or bow tie is perfectly appropriate. - Finish the look with polished leather oxfords or loafers. For Women - Floor-length gowns, elegant - Floor length cocktail dresses, or formal jumpsuits. - Fabrics like chiffon, silk, or satin for an elevated touch. - Pair with dressy heels or flats and understated accessories.
The Wedding itself is on October 4th, but we encourage guests to show up a few days early to be able to explore the beauty that is Portugal. Sintra backs up to a national park for exploring, as well as has a historic city center with the National Palace of Pena above it.
We highly recommend flying TAP Portugal for your trip. From our experience, it's best to book directly on their website rather than using third-party travel sites. When booking a round-trip flight, be sure to select your departing flight first, followed by your returning flight. The website will then calculate the total cost at the end of the process. Once you arrive in Lisbon, we recommend taking the metro to Lisbon Oriente Station. From there, you can catch a train to Sintra. The best train option is the Comboios de Portugal 18200 line, which departs every 20 minutes. The journey takes about 47 minutes and the cost ranges between €2 - €15. You can check departure times online at Rome2Rio. To take this urban train, you will need a Navegante Card. This card can be purchased at the train station and loaded with money or tickets. You can buy and load the card at either the manned ticket booths or ticket machines at the station. We hope this makes your trip to Sintra easier, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
Our registry is only filled with the plane tickets and time you are sharing with us.
We fell in love with the laid back nature of the country. It is filled with happy people, tasty fish, and cheap wine. What more could you ask for?
Thats okay! We understand a destination wedding is a big commitment both in time, and money. If you aren't able to make it we could not be more understanding.
