The beginning

You're the best thing I found on the internet!

We met on Match.com. Paula was finishing up a 6-month subscription and Tony was just about to get off the site. Apparently, Paula "winked" at Tony because she thought he was cute. Tony struck up a conversation and after a few weeks of texting daily, we finally decided to meet in person. For our first date we went to eat on the pier in Sheboygan. Conversation was constant and laughs were shared. After hanging out for 8 hours, we called it a night. Apparently, Tony didn't know the rule that he should wait to call back and he offered to take a ride up to Denmark the following day. The rest is history.

Dating life

Miles and miles and miles

After almost 10 years of dating, living 43 miles apart, we made a point out of making the most out of our time together. We'd make the most out of meeting in Manitowoc for grocery shopping and spending our weekends without the kids' sharing hobbies and talking about the days we would finally live in the same town. We found one common hobby that we both dabbled in before we met...camping. Before long, we were attending the Hodag, planning camping trips and loving life around the campfire. Between Harley rides, camping trips, and sitting by the pool, summers flew by, Kids sporting events and our mutual hate of winter got us through the years and the miles.

It's about time

One of us is patient, the other...not so much

Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and months turned into years. Almost 8 1/2 years passed and Paula was waiting, patiently. Ok, patience is not her strong suit. On Christmas, 2024 Tony finally popped the question. We celebrated and began planning. Years before, Tony mentioned that when we got married, we should rent out the whole side of The Marsh campground hand have one big party to celebrate. After a few phone calls and meetings, here we are, making his pipe dream a reality. Some would say, it's about time. Tony likes to say that all good things are worth waiting for. Either way, we can't wait to celebrate with everyone who supported us over the years.
