We're getting married!

Raleigh and I met for the first time on December 7th, 2019, very shortly after “swiping right” for each other on Bumble during Thanksgiving Break that year (and some very exciting Bumble conversations). We had our very first date at Santa’s Tavern – at Porch Swing Pub – known for being Houston’s first Christmas themed pop up bar. Maybe it was the Christmas spirit, or perhaps the Aquarius-Gemini undeniable chemistry… Raleigh and I chatted all night in a beautiful winter wonderland setting, with a mutual feeling like we have known each other forever. We quickly realized how much we have in common as we bonded over similar taste in music and oil and gas law and laughing hysterically at the silliest dad jokes only he and I would find funny. Shortly after we met, I went on vacation to Brazil for almost a month. We kept in touch nearly the entire time, except for the one week where Raleigh lost his phone at the ranch in Cotulla. As they say, when it’s meant to be in our lives, they find their ways. 😊 When I got back from Brazil, it was as if we had never been apart. We went on fun dates, weddings, all the things. Then Covid-19 happened, when we, alongside the rest of the world, became homebodies, and Netflix, FaceTime, and Insta Cart became our best friends. Good thing one of us knows how to cook, and that would be Raleigh. As odd as it may sound, I am genuinely thankful for that time. Our relationship grew stronger each day in the countless months that followed. One of the things my mom has always instilled in me is that marrying someone is also marrying the family. After meeting each others’ families, we knew we were meant to be. It all felt like home. Fast forward to June 2023 when Raleigh and I went on vacation to Mexico. I received the surprise of a lifetime when he went out of his element (if you know him, you know) by proposing to me onstage in front of 200+ people in the middle of a Cabaret show. And the rest is history. If you’ve made it this far, thank you! We are so glad you are here and cannot wait to celebrate with you on March 16th!
