Our Story

Every love story begins with a moment — sometimes quiet, sometimes unassuming. Ours began in a simple office in Pasig. Paula was just 20, a bright-eyed young woman starting her career. Jayvee was 21, equally focused on his own path. We were nothing more than workmates back then — exchanging friendly smiles at the pantry, short “hi’s” in the hallway, and the occasional small talk in between tasks. There were no grand gestures, no obvious sparks yet — just two people slowly noticing each other’s presence. Then came the pandemic. The world paused, but life still had to go on. Both of us left our office jobs, but soon found ourselves working full-time from home — just like millions of others. And yet, in the middle of that global uncertainty, we discovered something steady: our conversations. What started as casual chats turned into daily check-ins. We laughed at the same silly things, shared stories about our days, and slowly uncovered each other’s little habits — the ones you only notice when someone’s presence becomes part of your everyday. Somewhere along the way, we decided to try something new together — our first business, **Safewear**. It didn’t quite succeed, but it didn’t break us either. If anything, it made us stronger as a team. Soon, another opportunity came. We began selling alcohol — not the drinking kind, but the sanitizing kind that everyone needed back then. It was hectic. Orders poured in, days were long, and nights were even longer… but through it all, we had each other. And then, on **June 7, 2021**, in between all the busy hours, Jayvee finally asked, *“Will you be my girlfriend?”* Paula said yes — and just like that, our “getting to know each other” stage became the beginning of something real. Life from then on felt like an adventure movie. We rode Jayvee’s motorbike to Marilaque, Batangas, Cavite, and Subic, chasing sunsets and fresh air. We discovered the underwater world through freediving in Batangas, Coron, and Boracay. We saw new places, shared new experiences, and learned how to be each other’s safe place no matter where we were. As time passed, our business evolved too. We shifted from selling alcohol to running a coffee supplies business — one that grew into **two branches** and took us to places we never imagined, even beyond the Philippines. It was challenging, yes, but also fulfilling — because every win was shared, and every obstacle faced together. And then came the most magical day of our story so far — **February 23, 2025**. Under the gentle snowfall at Mt. Fuji in Japan, we went ice skating like kids. The air was cold, but our hearts were warm. Jayvee suddenly knelt down on the ice, holding a ring that seemed to sparkle even brighter against the white snow. With a smile and a little nervous laugh, he asked Paula to be his forever. She said yes — with tears in her eyes and joy in her heart. Now, here we are — ready for the next chapter: marriage. It feels like our journey has been a mix of unexpected turns, quiet moments, and grand adventures. And today, we’re so happy to share this day with you — because in one way or another, you’ve been part of our story. 💍✨
