How close do we live to the national park? Really, really close! You may have to battle the crowds of "leafers" as the locals call them, but the park's beauty is one of the reasons we moved to the "canoe capital of Virginia" and the "gateway to the skyline drive". A park pass or entrance fee is required to enter. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, however during inclement weather, parts of Skyline Drive may be closed.
