We met in Chicago when Paul was in town to celebrate the Cubs World Series win. As romantic as that may sound it was far from "love at first sight". Tessa was dating someone at the time and Paul thought she was "standoff-ish". It wasn't until years later that we reconnected over a funny instagram post. Over the next few years we became good friends but were never willing to try long-distance dating. That is until April 2021, when Paul called Tessa to confess his true feelings. We officially started dating in June 2021 and haven't looked back since.

I (Tessa) was spending the day in San Diego with my mom when she told me she "accidentally took her friend's house keys" and needed to urgently get them back to her. After rushing to a park to meet her friend, I realized we were at the same park Paul and I had our first date. It was at that moment that I looked up and saw Paul standing at the end of a candle-lit path. Saying "yes" to him was the best decision I've ever made.
