5 miles North of Moab lies one of the most photogenic parks in the National Park system **please note - there is a timed entry system for Arches, so making reservations in advanced is required if entering between 7am and 4pm
One of our favorite areas to explore! Canyonlands is a little farther from town, but the drive is worth it.
Corona Arch - this hike is a little more of an adventure (there is a short ladder in the middle) but the arch is really neat! Can get busy on weekends, but still a cool place to see. Jeep Arch - out Potash road, Culvert Canyon (aka Jeep Arch trail) is a great place to escape the crowds. Hunter Canyon - family friendly, beautiful drive to the start Hidden Valley - just down the road from our house! There is a steep climb at the beginning of the hike, but once into the valley the trail flattens out and you are rewarded with some pretroglyphs! Grandstaff Canyon Mill Creek - right in town, follow Mill Creek up to a waterfall and beautiful swimming hole! If you don't want to hike, the "teacups" are shallow pools near the parking lot where you can cool off and escape the heat.
