Ignazio and I met at his uncle's restaurant and it was love at first sight; at least on my part! I remember walking in and seeing this skinny guy with very curly hair and glasses standing behind the register. I sat by the bar to order and we just starting having a conversation. I remember telling my cousin "Oh my God, he is so cute". Time passed and we would see each other every now and then at Pizzo's. I added him on facebook and he denied my friend request ,but a few months later he then added me. To this day, I still joke around and complain that he didn't accept my request. Finally, we went to Grossmont Collage and we had a class right next to each other. We would spend our breaks talking and flirting and I knew by then we both had feelings for each other. He finally decided to ask me out on February 15th, 2016. I can honestly say that from the day I met him at the restaurant, he truly has made me the happiest girl in the world and I could not have been any more Blessed.
Five years later, on my 26th birthday, Ignazio finally popped the question and I said "yes!" I woke up like every birthday with a beautiful text message and phone call. We then went to Little Italy for breakfast with my family. He was so calm, I would've never known that in just a few hours he was going to surprise me with the most perfect date ever planned. Although I was hoping for it to happen, you still never know. However, I still went to get my nails done and picked out a nice outfit "just in case". Surely enough, I arrived to Torrey Pines and he had the most beautiful picnic set up in the edge of a hill. He included so many details to make it extra special. He built a beautiful teepee with lights and my favorite flowers. Inside, there were two pillows that said "king and queen", blankets, a picnic basket, a cheese board, our favorite wine, and a box of french macarons. Everything I absolutely love!!! The sunset was beautiful and we were listening to our favorite country songs as we saw people paragliding right in front of us. As the sun was setting (which is also one of my favorite things to see), he told me to get out so we could take a picture. He then kneeled down and asked me to marry him after saying some beautiful things. My legs were shaking, I couldn't stop smiling and my heart was beating way to hard to the point that I kinda forgot to say yes! But here we are, writing this story as we get closer and closer to day we say 'I do".
