We are so excited to celebrate with you!

Chris and I met in the summer of 2018 and had our first date at the Pikes Peak Brewery in Monument. We enjoyed pizza and hula hoops on the patio and made plans to see each other again as soon as possible. Since then, we have been on so many adventures, some planned (by me) and others unplanned (by Chris) but always together. During the fall of 2019, Chris planned a December trip to Switzerland and had already expertly encouraged the idea that an engagement was still a ways out, so I tried not to expect anything but a fun adventure! One day we took a beautiful gondola ride to the top of Mt. Pilatus in the Alps, and while admiring the crystal clear views, Chris handed me a sweet love letter... and a huge ring pop! I was laughing and trying to read the letter when all of a sudden, Chris got down on one knee with a beautiful ring and asked me to marry him. It was the easiest question and best decision of my life, and we celebrated with a drink at the top of the mountain, excited to spend our lives together. We started planning our wedding and no one could have predicted what happened in 2020 - we were deeply saddened to postpone our ceremony and reception with all our friends and family both times, but we needed to be able to celebrate together safely. Not wanting to delay starting our lives together (and Chris' lease was still up at that time too!) in May of 2020, with our immediate families around us, we exchanged vows at Garden of the Gods and started the summer as Mr. and Mrs. As we start to see more restrictions lift and the vaccine become more available, we're hopeful that we can now all celebrate and Chris and I are beyond excited to finally share our joy with all our loved ones!!
