In late 2018, we swiped right on Bumble, hoping for a magical first date. Unfortunately, we were both under the weather, and the evening turned out to be quite forgettable. Still, we decided to give it another shot. On our second date, we finally started to connect. Shortly after that, V chose to take a break from dating, leading to five months of silence. During that time, I kept seeing reminders of her everywhere. In spring 2019, I reached out, and we arranged our "second first date". One lunch was all it took to realize we didn’t want to be apart. Thus, our epic romance began.
After dating for nearly three years, I was sure V was "the one." With help from her friends and family, I found the perfect ring. We planned our big day for September 25, 2021, hosting a backyard party. I was nervous but received the blessing of her four daughters, who were excited for their mom to finally be happy. When the moment came, the girls led Veronica outside. I dropped to one knee and asked her to marry me. She knelt to seek her daughters’ approval, and when they said "Yes," she did too! I slid the ring onto her finger, and we had the best kiss of my life (that is, until our wedding day comes!).
