The city is also famous for the Pont d'Avignon, a partially ruined medieval bridge steeped in legend. With its cobblestone streets, lively squares, and vibrant arts scene, Avignon offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and Provençal charm. Located approximately 30 to 40 minutes from our venue, it's an ideal day trip for our guests. While in Avignon, we highly recommend visiting: Palais des Papes: The largest Gothic palace in Europe, rich with history. Pont d’Avignon: Take a walk across the famous medieval bridge. Les Halles Market: A perfect spot for discovering local flavors in the morning.
Châteauneuf-du-Pape
A visit to Châteauneuf-du-Pape is an unforgettable journey into the heart of one of France’s most prestigious wine regions. Saint-Paul de Mausole
The Van Gogh Walk in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence offers a unique opportunity to explore the landscapes that inspired Vincent van Gogh. Starting at Saint-Paul-de-Mausole, the asylum where Van Gogh stayed from 1889-1890, this self-guided tour leads you through the countryside that appears in many of his famous works. Along the route, you’ll find reproductions of paintings like "The Irises" and "Wheat Field with Cypresses", placed exactly where Van Gogh painted them. Van Gogh’s most famous work, Starry Night was completed while he was residing in an asylum in Saint-Remy-de-Provence, where he was recuperating from a nervous breakdown.
