We met on an online dating app called "Hinge". He liked my profile and reached out to me first and within four messages we were sending paragraphs to each other. It felt like I was talking to a lifelong friend.
We went to a restaurant called Taco Buddha for our first date. Similar to our experience with texting, as soon as we saw each other in person it felt like we already knew each other. We stayed at the restaurant over an hour after closing time... just talking. From that day on, we were inseparable!
It was a typical Sunday afternoon; I was at my house studying for a certification exam for work. He called me and said that I had been studying so hard that I deserved a break. He said he would pick me up for a drive to Johnson's Shut-Ins. Only slightly suspicious, I agreed and he came by the house soon after. Once we got to the Shut-Ins, we hiked to a secluded spot with gorgeous views of the park. He set up his camera to take pictures since the spot was so nice, and as he walked over to me, he told me to turn around because there was "a massive deer" behind us. When I turned back around, he was down on one knee. It was the greatest moment of my life!
