Beautiful salt mine located deeply underground (loads of stairs but worth it) with beautiful salt sculptures. It is a short drive from city center (~30 minutes). Tours are typically arranged by bus from the city center with plenty of companies providing these trips

If you are going by car through Germany - this is a perfect stopover on the road to/from Krakow with great accommodation and food options (don't stop in germany - pricy and not as good!). Hotel recommendation is: City Park Hotel & Residence (luxury) or IBB Andersia Hotel (more central and close to Stary Browar mall where you can find great food too - a cool place to visit)
