Maurielle and Patrick met at their besties Erick and Chue's house in October 2019. Maurielle and Chue were going out to Tony's (Maurielle's childhood friend) 30th birthday party in downtown SF. Unbeknownst to Maurielle, Erick had invited Patrick over to "hang out" because he knew Maurielle would be over. For backstory, back in September 2019 while drinking amongst friends and talking about Maurielle being single, Erick had asked Maurielle, "what about my homie Pat?" all while showing her a photo of Pat with his ex-girlfriend and doing a poor job of zooming in on just Pat.. to which Maurielle said, "no." Fast forward to October, Chue invited Maurielle over for pre-game and homemade pho before going to the club for Tony's birthday. When Maurielle arrived, Pat was already over watching YouTube with Erick. The two were introduced and after group conversations, suddenly BOTH Erick and Chue had to leave to walk Titan together, leaving Maurielle and Pat alone to talk. After more group shots and Erick trying to convince Maurielle to meet them all in the PI on vacation, it was time for Maurielle and Chue to leave. Erick and Pat said they were going to share an Uber downtown with the girls and then part ways to do their own thing.. well, they never did their own thing. They followed the girls to Tony's party and Maurielle and Pat spent the rest of the night flirting and dancing in the club, all documented by Chue (lol). Pat asked Maurielle for her number so that he could get to know her better and she continued to turn him down, saying she was in school and she had plans to move and she wasn't looking for anything serious. Maurielle did NOT give Pat her number and made sure Chue didn't either. But in the weeks after their night out, both Maurielle's besties Roni-Jo and Chue convinced Maurielle to give Pat a chance and at least take her out on a date.. and the rest is history!

Pat took Maurielle to omakase in Outer Richmond for their first date and they spent hours talking over dessert afterwards. They met each other's families by Christmas and Pat officially asked Maurielle to be his girlfriend on December 29, 2019 in Disneyland. Pat threw Maurielle a surprise 30th birthday party on March 14, 2020 and the world shut down due to COVID-19 the following day. Shortly after, Pat moved in with Maurielle in the Outer Sunset and they (fortunately) made it through quarantine times together. When Maurielle got accepted into Roseman University's BSN program, Pat decided he'd move with her to Las Vegas, NV in June 2021. Pat supported them as Maurielle focused on school, and even bought them their own home in April 2022. Maurielle graduated nursing school in February 2023, and the following year, in December 2024, Pat graduated from UNLV. Maurielle and Pat have worked hard and supported each other to complete their goals. Pat promised Maurielle he'd propose after he graduated.. and he did just that. Now their next goal: throw a wedding everyone will enjoy, turn up at, and (not) remember!
