We're getting married!

It was the summer of 2009 and we were both in the quincenera court of a mutual friend. We became friends through the countless choreography sessions. During the quince, I asked Patrick to come and dance. Then he asked for my number. We spent the rest of the summer constantly talking to one another. He was transferring to our high school in the fall and the rest was history.

November 20, 2021 was the date. Patrick took me to the Pearl for brunch at the Boiler House. After brunch we walked around the Pearl for a while. When I thought we were heading home, we were actually heading downtown to the river walk. Patrick said he wanted to take a stroll down the river walk. Once we parked, we started walking towards the stairs and I saw my coworker Monique! She said Patrick booked a surprise photo shoot and began taking pictures. Patrick started walking me down the stairs where I saw these beautiful marquis letters spelling out, Marry Me Kassie. There were petals and candles in the shape of a heart. Patrick took me to the heart and asked me to marry him. Of course I SAID YES! Then the most amazing thing happened, Patrick turned me around and our family and closest friends were all behind us! Cheering with excitement. It was a perfect day.
