It all began at The University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Who would have thought? Alex had a crush on Stephanie from the moment he saw her at a party Freshman year. Stephanie thought Alex was cute, but that’s where the story ends…almost. Fast Forward to Senior Year. Alex had gained some courage over the years of parties and talking to girls so he spoke to Steph at “Friendsgiving”. She still thought he was cute, but now she realized he was also goofy. Fast Forward to a Florida Georgia Line Concert. Alex kisses Steph (liquid courage) and apologizes the very next day for "being too forward". She still thought he was cute and goofy and to Alex's surprise not too forward! Fast Forward to New Years Eve of 2018 - this is where their story officially begins. Alex and Steph kiss at midnight and have been inseparable ever since. While Steph was studying to be a nurse she decided to move herself into Alex and Dave's apartment (talk about forward), whether they liked it or not. It wasn't until they started living together and taking on the city night after night that their goofiness aligned, as well as many of their passions and viewpoints and they fell quickly in love. They’ve been learning more and more about one another over these three and a half blissful years. They have much more to learn and are looking forward to all of the adventures that await - starting with August 12th 2022!

The day started like any other... Alex went to golf and Steph went to work. It was the first beautiful spring day in Chicago, albeit windy, but beautiful nonetheless. Steph and Alex had plans to go to dinner with the parents that evening, but first would visit their favorite spot in the city - The Robey Hotel Rooftop. They would “meet Dave and some other friends for a pre-dinner drink”. Hand-in-hand Alex and Steph walked to the Robey, got to the rooftop (barely) and sipped on some bubbles. They were the only two on the roof and this day couldn’t get any better (or so Steph thought). Alex revealed they weren’t meeting friends and he had several other secrets to reveal. Steph knew what was happening at this point and naturally she burst into tears. Alex got down on one knee and we know the rest of that story :) The parents and best man emerged from the broom closet and behind curtains snapping photos and more bubbles and tears were shared. The group headed to Pizzeria Portofino for their planned dinner, where much to Steph's surprise 24 friends and family members gathered to celebrate the best day ever!
