A lot of people have been asking for our registry and we never know how to respond. So, we went ahead a wrote a poem set to Dr. Seuss's "I Wish That I Had Duck Feet" We wish that we had money And we can tell you why We have furnished our apartment No more things we need to buy We wish that we had money All the traveling we would do The long distance flights to Chile And the short ones to Chicago too We wish that we had Euros We’d fly far across the pond Trips to Ireland and Sweden Then Greece and Italy and beyond We wish that we had Pesos To Caribbean islands we would go We’d head to South America Then to a wedding in Cabo Now, when I read this to my father He said that “‘Money’ might be crass” So we thought long and hard about that comment And decided “let's go with ‘cash’” To be clear, no gifts are required Because that is not why you’re invited We will drink and dance and laugh You better be excited!
