As the story goes, we met while stationed together at the West Point Military Academy. We went from co-workers, to drinking acquaintances, to friends, to dating, and now to marriage. What a journey it has been and we look forward to starting the beginning of our lives with you!

I, Veronica, do not know if you know that Patrick is not the best at keeping surprises secret. The ring was chosen by me but it was his idea to do the black diamond (BEST IDEA EVER), but I was not sure when it was going to come in. Well, Patrick told me exactly when it had arrived, leading me to know what was going to happen in that up and coming week. We went on a hike, it was easter Sunday. We were going to go to one specific location but there wasn't a parking spot available. We searched until we found a random hiking trail and went for it. We had our furry daughters with us and my horrible endurance. It all started off easy, then came the hills. OH, how steep they were. We came to a point where I just needed a break. I sat on a huge rock, Patrick gave Mia and Ava some water and I was staring off into the distance. All I heard was, "I wanted to wait to do this when there was a view but," (this is where I turned around and saw him holding my ring and a bunch of yellow daffodils), "will you marry me?". Of course I said YES!
