We meet online which was a shock to both of us since isn't that just a thing from a movie that happens? Meeting later in life made this especially surprising after a life time of searching and thinking that there wasn't anyone out there for either of us. Patrick contacted me online through Plenty of Fish and honestly I thought this was going to be another date that leads to no where. Patrick pulls up in his Subaru Forrester right next to me in the parking lot that we were supposed to meet in order to pick up some sushi. Well it was July and he steps out in cargo shorts, t-shirt and a hat.....I am thinking that this is going to be interesting! So after picking up sushi we head back to Patrick's car and we head to Smithpoint Beach. As he is driving, I am thinking that I have no idea where I am going and what if this ends poorly. Let's just say, he had me when he talked about his love of pottery! After a wonderful first date at Smithpoint beach, we both knew that there was more depth, commonality, interests, and mutual experiences that can only be defined after a life time of finding what you truly want and need. Well, when you know it is right the rest has happened so quickly and has been the highlight of my life. So yes, online dating did pay off on this one!!!!!
