Patrick and I met in Chicago, while we were both living at North + Vine. It was a sunny Friday afternoon so, of course, we were both at the pool and "working from home." The pool was pretty empty, but Patrick decided to put his stuff right next to mine. Patrick opened his laptop, so I turned to him and said, "Are you actually pretending to work?" We ended up talking for a few hours at the pool, but Patrick never asked for my number. Despite this, I texted multiple friends telling them I had met my husband and I knew we'd meet again. Flash forward a couple weeks, and we "coincidentally" ran into each other at the park. Patrick gave me his number, and we went on our first date to Topo Gigio a few days later!
