Patrick and Natalie’s story goes back far before they went on their first date in April of 2022. Their story starts in March of 2019. Their paths first crossed at an apartment party held by a mutual friend. Patrick says Natalie immediately caught his eye. Even now more than 6 years later he could tell you what she was wearing that night and the color of her lipstick. After meeting that night, Patrick declared to his friends that Natalie was going to be his future wife. Patrick wouldn’t work up the courage to ask Natalie on a date until September of that year and unfortunately at that time Natalie had begun seeing someone else. The subsequent years were quiet but Patrick says he always kept Natalie in the back of his mind. It wasn’t until March of 2022 that Patrick decided to give it another chance and messaged Natalie to ask if she was single yet. This time Patrick wasted no time, and they went on their first date for cocktails at Love Street (great suggestion, Mikey!) on April 13th, 2022. Natalie came home from this date and texted her friend Sonja that she was going to marry Patrick. From then on they were inseparable. By August of 2023 the die hard White Sox fan was moving into Patrick’s Lakeview apartment down the street from Wrigley Field and was Patrick’s permanent plus 1 for his Cubs season tickets. Patrick popped the question in August of 2025 at a picnic by the lake, saying to Natalie that he knew he wanted to marry her from the moment he first met her. They celebrated the day with their families and some of their closest friends. Now in August of 2026 they will tie the knot surrounded by all the people who are so very important to them.
