How It All Went Down...

Can You Stand The Rain...

There's always two versions to a story... Nat's Version; If you know Patrick, then you know that his first love is KICKBALL (smh)! Over the last 8-9 years we both have dedicated a good amount of time playing recreational sports from flag football (Nat) to kickball (Nat & Pat) in a few local DC/MD leagues. Patrick first set his eyes on Natalie back in 2015-2016 while she pranced around the field making plays :). On a few occasions - he spoke in passing until one stormy spring day - while waiting out a rain delay (with severe thunderstorms), Pat sparked up convo in the parking lot and surprisingly not one time did it appear to him that we could get struck by lightning - I guess he was just that mesmerized! As luck would have it, we survived and over the next few months - Pat stared me down and winked in passing until one evening during my women's game - I noticed him watching and as he tells it - it was for recruiting purposes :/ (MmmHmm). He asked for my number seconds after I stepped off the dirt and over the next few months we chatted and texted until he mustered up the courage to ask me on a date. Sparks flew and love grew! Who knew he'd fall in love with my "city-girl" sass and I'd fall in love with his "farm-boy" charm. #mylovemuffin #patandnat Pat's Version; Now the truth It all began on a warm summer day on the kickball field. Nat had been scoping Pat out over the years, sitting on the sidelines watching him play. Until finally one day she mustered enough courage to ask him to play on her team for the day because she was short a few guys and she wanted an all-star to help them win a game. Although he didn't end up playing that day, they started to speak and wave at each other in passing. Until one stormy spring afternoon when she stopped him once again and started spilling her life story in the rain, lightning struck and sparks ignited. They kept communicating over the next few months and blossomed into a wonderful relationship. #thetruthshallsetyoufree
