Usually people think of Sheetz as just another gas station that has some decent and easy to-go food. What neither of us realized is that we'd find the one person that we'd want to spend the rest of our lives with. With Patrick on medical leave and Madison a newly transferred employee for the summer, neither of us really thought anything of the other. Then a former high school teacher piqued our interest in each other by pointing out our similarities. After that week we decided to venture into the unknown (but known, as we learned) and found that we were more the same than we originally thought.

After waiting the two and a half months of Madison being in basic training with the Air Force, she was able to come home for Christmas. We were so happy to be back together. On New Year's Eve, Patrick thought it was the right moment when we were surrounded by our closest friends to propose. No extraordinary measures, but sentimental and meaningful just the same.
