FAQs

The Wedding Website of Leslie Brownell and Patrick Curran
Question

Where am I going?

Answer

The wedding is being held at the pole barn and hay field, where Leslie grew up farming with her family. Property address: 2164 NY-67, Johnsonville NY However, we ask that guests use the Cumo Road entrance to enter the property. There will be plenty of signage and balloons to point you in the right direction! Parking will be available in the field next to the barn.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We adore each and every one of our family and friends’ children; however, we will be having an adults-only wedding. We appreciate your understanding and efforts to find a sitter for September 6th.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire is encouraged. Keep in mind we will be in a field and in a barn. Leave the stilettos at home. Bring your favorite dancing shoes for tearing up the dance floor and prancing through the field for other activities we have planned.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 2:00. As long as the weather cooperates, we will be transporting our guests in wagons to the top of the hill for the ceremony which, will begin at 3:00.

Question

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our hope is that Mother Nature will cooperate and the ceremony will take place on top of the hill, overlooking the barn below where the reception will follow. If the weather doesn’t play in our favor, the ceremony will be held in the barn.

Question

What type of food will be served?

Answer

Cocktail hour, dinner, and late night food will have a wide variety of choices, to ensure all dietary needs are met. Carnivores, herbivores, pastavores, gluten free, vegans, and vegetarians have all been accounted for.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Duh. Perhaps you bring a little cash to tip your bartenders though!

Question

What does transportation look like?

Answer

If you don’t want to (or shouldn’t) drive home from the wedding, we’ll have campers on site for you to stay in! If you intend to stay the night with us, please indicate this in your RSVP so that we can plan accordingly. If you are staying nearby and need a ride, we recommend making those arrangements ahead of time. Uber is not a thing in Johnsonville.

Question

What’s the camper situation?

Answer

We would love for you to dance the night away with us! We have obtained several large campers for our guests to stay in. Depending on the number of people we have staying, there is a good chance you will be bunking up with your friends. You’re also welcome to bring your own tent or camper. If you plan on staying in a camper or bringing your own camper or tent, let us know ahead so that we can arrange a cohesive layout. You can note this in the RSVP and/or reach out to Leslie and/or Patrick to further discuss.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Whether or not you are able to attend, please let us know by no later than August 1st. You will be harassed (respectfully) by the bride and/or groom, if not heard from by then.

Question

What time does the reception end?

Answer

What time does the sun rise?

For all the days along the way
