Patrick and Laila have been together since January 28th, 2017. At that time Laila was 15 and Patrick was 16. When they get married, Patrick will be 21 and Laila will be 20. They were each others first relationship. They are very simple people and most of their dates consisted of movies and food. Some of their most memorable dates were going ice skating, roller skating, dance events, bowling, and multiple movie dates. They both love food and some of their favorite restaurants are Popeyes, Applebee's, and Cheddars. Their favorite summer activity is attending Holy Family Camp, a camp where they care for people with disabilities. They greatly appreciate the support throughout their relationship and are thankful for everyone's presence at their wedding.

They met at coffee and donuts after Sunday Mass at Church of the Resurrection in 2016. They were introduced by Laila's Dad because he knew the Nolla's via his job with the Knights of Columbus. At the time, they didn't conversate much and only exchanged a few words but a few months later they developed a wonderful friendship through youth group.

During the majority of their relationship, Patrick and Laila were in school full time. Which means that it took longer for them to afford an engagement plus a wedding. They both knew that they wanted to get married, but they were waiting for the right time. On August 8th, 2020, they attended Adoration and God spoke to Patrick and said that it was the right time to ask. After adoration, Patrick got down on one knee and asked Laila to marry him. At the time, Patrick did not have a ring but he promised that he would get Laila a ring soon. Laila said yes to the promise that they were going to get married. On November 11th 2020, Patrick surprised Laila with a ring so they could make the engagement official! Ever since they started dating, they have always had a tradition of saying "you are my wish" at 11:11 and 22:22 (because Laila knows military time). Patrick incorporated that tradition in his proposal plan because he asked officially on 11-11!! (HOW ROMANTIC). They met, got engaged and are getting married all in the same place!
