What is the attire for wedding?

Answer

Semi-formal attire: suits for the men and cocktail dresses/similar attire for the women

Are the Ceremony and Reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes, both the Ceremony and Reception are at the Branford House Mansion (Address: 1084 Shennecossett Rd, Groton, CT 06340).

Are children allowed?

Answer

No. This is an adult-only wedding unless otherwise specified.

Are the bride and groom accepting gifts?

Answer

Yes, please see our online registry ("Registry" tab on this website)! Accept cash-gifts with great gratitude as well.

Can I bring additional guests in my family to the wedding that were not on the RSVP?

Answer

No, unless the exact name of the person is specified in the RSVP you cannot add them. There is limited space at this wedding.

I didn't see space to add a plus one's name when I RSVP'd, can I bring one?

Answer

No, unfortunately not everyone will be having a plus one. Therefore, if you did not see space for a plus one when you RSVP'd, then unfortunately you cannot bring one yourself.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

You should RSVP at the latest by 6/25/21 so we can plan the wedding accordingly based on the final head count.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 3:45pm (unless otherwise specified). The wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

If you have major food allergies, we can ask our caterer to accomodate you (we cannot promise the allergy will be accomodated, however). In the case that there are food allergies, please reach out to our Wedding Coordinator Rachael Pucccino at rachaelmaryweddings@gmail.com.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No, there's no shuttle to/from the hotels to the wedding venue. There is Uber and Lyft in the area if needed.

Is there parking at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes there is free parking on UCONN's campus in one of the many surrounding parking lots near the Branford House Estate. Just don't park on the grass, else they will ticket you!

What are the COVID-19 precautions?

Answer

We are asking guests to get a negative COVID-19 result prior to attending the wedding, if possible. Obtaining the COVID-19 vaccine is also encouraged prior to attending. We will have hand-sanitizer and masks avialable on-site for guests!

What will the weather be like in Groton, CT in July?

Answer

Average temperatures during the summer range from 64-81 degrees F (warm-hot summer weather). We are hoping for 7/25/21 to be a beautiful, sunny day!

Is the venue (The Branford House) handicap accessible?

Answer

Yes, the Branford is wheel-chair accessible.

Are there fun things to do in the area surrounding the venue?

Answer

Yes! The New London/Groton area has a lot to offer (from beaches, to museums, quaint New England towns, fine dining, etc.). Please see the "Things to Do" tab for more information!
