From the karaoke stage to the wedding altar!

It was a warm evening on May 30th, 2015. Kelly her friend Brit were out enjoying a girl's night, talking about their commitments to be single for the next few months. They arrived to Southtown Pub to enjoy some karaoke, and sat at the only open table available. Shortly thereafter, Patrick's group arrived and asked if the girls wouldn't mind sharing the large table. Kelly and Brit obliged, and scooted down while they continued talking. One of Kelly's karaoke requests came up that she felt pretty confident about. So she got on stage, sang with all of her heart, and was met with high fives and compliments from Patrick, his friends, and Brit. Shortly after, Patrick asked his friends which song he should sing. In the middle of tbeir conversation, Kelly opened up her "Karaoke Idea Song List" from her phone and slid it over to him. Patrick's jaw dropped, and said to Kelly, "I don't know anyone else that has a Karaoke list... but ME!" and slid his phone over to show her. That discovery made the two groups mingle even more, and Kelly and Patrick continued talking. The fun continued and more song requests were made. When it was almost closing time, Patrick went up to Kelly and said, "Hey, I just looked at the request lineup since they are closing soon. The DJ said he doesn't have time for your song, but they'll have time for mine. I'll give up my song request if you sing a duet with me." Wanting more karaoke friends, Kelly agreed because she'd never heard a more spirited and talented karaoke singer in her life (not to mention his good looks!). So they quickly searched through their karaoke lists and settled on "Summer Nights" from Grease. Before the night ended, Patrick and Kelly exchanged numbers to karaoke again soon, and ended with a high five. From that "Summer Night" on, Kelly and Patrick casually met up several more times, and began officially dating a month later. Their love of karaoke has grown into a lifelong love for each other ever since!

On June 29, 2017, up 30,000 feet in the air, Patrick had a stroke of genius that would change both his and Kelly's lives forever. Flying back home from a work conference in Boston, half-asleep against a window seat, a thought dropped out of the sky. It was a vision of not only proposing to Kelly, but also exactly how he was going to do it: Kelly’s sister would meet up with her to hang out, and ask if they could watch a video she made for class. It would culminate with Patrick on her front doorstep to ask for her hand in marriage. Thanks to the immense talents of Patrick's brother Danny’s filming skills and friend Sam’s editing ability to make his singing sound decent—and getting by with a little (no, a LOT) of help from his friends and family—a nearly-five month-old idea concocted on an airplane was perfectly executed! On November 19, 2017, a question (and more importantly, the answer) changed their lives: Kelly Lou DeNoyer, Patrick Joseph Morris' karaoke duet partner, agreed to be his partner in marriage. In the words of Kelly's mother, they Love Around the World and Back Again… and plan to continue doing so. Forever!
