We are closely monitoring Dane County's guidelines for social gathering maximums and space capacities. We are anticipating 50-75 guests. We may need to make some quick decisions if guidelines become more strict and will let you know in as timely a manner as possible if that happens.
The church is very large. For reference, 150 people can comfortably attend church while maintaining social distancing. We will have guests sitting in every other row and our ushers will not place you directly next to another group, per your own comfort level and preferences. There may not be a receiving line (air hugs!) and we will express our deep love and gratitude for you sharing in our special day in another way.
We have specifically re-designed our wedding with social distancing in mind! The reception will largely take place outside (weather permitting) with disposable dinnerware, thoughtfully spaced tables and self-serve drinks. Guests are encouraged to wear a mask, but not required to do so. We'll have hand sanitizer at each table and at the bar area. They'll make a lovely addition to our centerpieces! There will be a DJ, but you're not obligated to dance. Do what feels right for you and we'll all be respectful of each individual's decisions.
Reach out to Jackie or Patrick. We have a few alternate lodging options for those who need it!
We commit to staying home, aside from essential needs, for the 2 weeks leading up to our wedding weekend in efforts to reduce the risk of carrying the virus and passing it on to any of our beloved guests. We'll have our temperatures taken the morning of the wedding day. In addition, we will spend our "honeymoon" self-quarantining at home for 2 weeks after the wedding to ensure we are not spreading any potential virus to others in our community.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you. Reach out to Jackie or Patrick if you have questions about bringing a date. We'll make sure to keep our guest count in check for the best interest and safety of everyone!
