Busy but beautiful lake. It is very cold but has a lovely beach and there are easy and hard hikes from the trailhead nearby.
A much quieter lake than Redfish Lake. It doesn't have the amenities of Redfish but is a great place for a mellow hike or more intense bike ride. Lots of camping options and you can bring SUP or other rentals here to enjoy the lake.
I was a guide for the River Company for 5 summers. It was an awesome company to work for. They have excellent guides and a trip for all ages and comfort levels. That time of year there will probably be class IV for the most adventurous. There is a class III trip for those who still want a fun ride but with a very low chance of flipping over. This can also be done as a lunch trip. Ages 4+ There is a scenic trip that leaves from just outside Stanley that is fantastic for kids 6 and under. I have taken a 10 day old down so there isn't an age restriction.
My second favorite day stretch company. They have excellent guides and really know how to make a trip fun. They have some excellent fishing guides although that time of year won't be great fishing.
3rd favorite raft company.
Huge dance floor and bar. Probably where the reception will continue for those who are wanting a late night. Probably where some of you will be staying as well.
Fun bar that has been very much revamped since my guiding days. On Thursdays they close down the street in front of the bar and have live music and a street dance.
Great pizza place in downtown. Right down the road from the wedding venue and across the street from the Kasino Club.
