Patrick and Isabelle like to think they were always meant to love and know each other. The two met in 2024 at the Ramallah Convention, conveniently hosted in Jacksonville, Isabelle's hometown, that year. The first night of the convention, they locked eyes across the bar and knew their lives had changed forever. For the rest of the weekend, they were inseparable, floating around the convention together with a shared suspicion that they might be each other's soulmates. By the end of the weekend, Patrick realized that spending more time getting to know Isabelle was far more important than making his flight back to Kentucky. He canceled his trip home and took Isabelle out to the nicest steakhouse he could find. While the food was excellent, it was entirely forgettable compared to the exciting, silly, warm conversations that lasted hours and hours. The conversation didn't stop when Patrick went home to Kentucky. Over hours-long Facetime calls and monthly visits, Isabelle and Patrick began building a life together. They learned each other's likes, dislikes, pet peeves, families, and friends. Every call and every visit was one more opportunity to discover something new to love. And over time, whether in Jacksonville, Lexington, or somewhere in-between, they found home in each other.
