Question

What's the Covid update ?

Answer

Planning this event during the pandemic has certainly been a challenge. We are happy to report however, that recently the state of MA relaxed many of the Covid-related regulations formally in place related to events. This means we are able to include all of our friends and family in our wedding celebration and that we will be able to have a dance floor! To ensure that folks feel comfortable, we will have a sanitizer station and custom cloth masks will be provided upon arrival at the event.

Will there be a welcome event on Friday June 4th?

Answer

We have tried to secure a location for a welcome event on Friday June 4th. However, due to the circumstances surrounding Covid, this has proven very difficult. We may be able to get something on the books as the wedding approaches and if so, an update will be provided here. However, at the current time, there is no welcome event planned for Friday June 4th.

What is the schedule of events for the day of the wedding?

Answer

Wedding Ceremony: 4 pm Cocktail Hour: 4:30-5:30 Wedding Reception: 5:30-9:30

What is the wedding venue like?

Answer

The wedding venue is a beautiful private estate. The ceremony will be held in the rear of the property in a grassy area overlooking the water. Please note that guests will be required to walk from the driveway of the property to the ceremony location (approximately 300 feet). Seating will be provided for the ceremony. The cocktail hour will take place in an outdoor patio area with a beautiful view and the wedding reception will be held in a large tent on the front lawn of the property.

Can I drive my car to the wedding venue on the day of the wedding?

Answer

Unless you get permission from Hanah and Pat, you can not drive your car to the venue on the day of the wedding. Parking on site is extremely limited and will be reserved for event staff. Additionally, the venue is located down a private road, on which no parking is available.

Can I Uber or take a cab to the venue on the day of the wedding?

Answer

Unless you have permission from Hanah and Pat, you are unable to Uber or take a cab to the venue on the day of the wedding. The venue is located down a private, single-track, dead end road. A multitude of vehicles will quickly create a traffic nightmare in the vicinity of the venue.

Will transportation to the venue be provided on the day of the wedding?

Answer

You're in luck! Transportation will be provided to the venue on the day of the wedding! Detailed information about transportation is provided below. Please be sure to include a response in regards to transportation on your RSVP card. This will allow us to plan accordingly and be sure we accommodate all guests appropriately!

What transportation will be provided to the venue on the day of the wedding?

Answer

We will be using buses to transport guests to and from the venue on the day of the wedding. Buses will pick guests up at one of two locations and transport them to and from the venue location.

What are the pickup/drop-off locations for the buses?

Answer

There are two pickup/drop-off locations for the buses: Double Tree by Hilton Boston-Rockland located at 929 Hingham Street in Rockland St. Mary & St. George Coptic Orthodox Church located at 27 Hood Road in Scituate Please note, there is limited parking available for your use at St, Mary's. Please carpool if you are able.

What are the pickup times for the buses (Note Recent Update!)?

Answer

Buses will depart the Double Tree by Hilton Boston - Rockland at 3:00 pm. The ride from the Double Tree to the venue via bus is approximately 35 minutes. Please arrive at the parking lot of the Double Tree no later than 2:45 if you plan to take the bus from this location. Please park in the parking spots furthest east/furthest from Hingham Street. Buses will depart St. Mary & St. George Coptic Orthodox Church in Situate at 3:30 pm. The ride from St. Mary's to the venue via bus is approximately 15 minutes. Please arrive at the parking lot at St. Mary's no later than 3: 15 if you plan to take the bus from this location. Please park in the parking spots at the west end of the parking lot, closest to Mann Hill Road. If you do not wish to drive your car to the pick-up locations (smart if you plan to drink), you can Uber or take a cab to either of the locations and still catch the bus to the venue.

Question

What time will the buses be returning guests to Rockland/Scituate at the end of the evening?

Answer

The reception ends at 9:30 pm. The bus from the venue to the Rockland DoubleTree will depart the venue at 9:30 pm. There will be two shuttles from the venue back to the St. Mary's parking lot. Buses will depart the venue for Scituate at 9:30 and 10:00 pm .

Question

If I want to depart the reception prior to the scheduled busses (9:30 pm), what should I do?

Answer

If you wish to depart the reception prior to 9:30, we suggest you take an Uber or taxi cab. Due to the limited availability, we recommend you preschedule an Uber or taxi cab. Please note that due to limited access, Ubers or taxi cabs will have to pick passengers up at the bottom of the venue driveway.

Can you provide more details regarding the entrée options for the wedding reception?

Answer

Sure thing! Options are as follows. Meat: Porcini Crusted Flat Iron Steak with Herbed Compound Butter,Smashed Red Skinned Potatoes and Roasted Asparagus Fish: Baked Cod with Lemon and Herbs, Smashed Red Skinned Potatoes and Roasted Asparagus Vegetarian: Pasta Primavera with Seasonal Vegetables, Herbs, and Lemon-Cream Sauce

Question

What will Hanah and Pat be doing the day following the wedding, Sunday June 6th?

Answer

Hanah and Pat plan to spend the day following their wedding at Birch Point Estate with family and friends. All are welcome to stop by for a mimosa any time after 11am. Please note that transportation to the venue will not be provided on Sunday June 6th.
