Things to Do Around Town

What to do around town...

Visit the Point

601 Commonwealth Pl, Pittsburgh, PA 15222

The Allegheny and Monongahela rivers meet in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh to form the Ohio river. Head to The Point to explore the state park and famous fountain marking this spot where the historic Fort Duquesne and Fort Pitt once stood.

Explore the Strip District

Pittsburgh, PA

Pittsburgh’s Strip District is a vibrant neighborhood full of fun things to do: grab a sandwich at the original famous Primanti Bros, play for a high score at Puttshack, or buy a memento at any of the many shops that line Penn Ave - just to name a few!

The Andy Warhol Museum

117 Sandusky Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212

The Andy Warhol Museum tells Andy Warhol’s story and explores his legacy through the largest collection of Warhol art and archives in the world. Tickets can be purchased online in advance, or in person at the museum.

Carnegie Museum of Art

4400 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213

As one of the four Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Museum of Art began as the vision of Andrew Carnegie, and his initial concept was to create a museum that would bring the world to the people of Pittsburgh. He achieved this aspiration by creating the very first Carnegie International exhibition in 1896, as a gift to those living and working in the city. More than 125 years later, through collecting art via each Carnegie International, the longest-running North American survey of international art, and through our many other creative activities, we continue to expand the imaginative potential of what a museum can be.

National Aviary

700 Arch Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212

Pittsburgh’s National Aviary is the only independent indoor nonprofit aviary in the United States. It’s also the country’s largest aviary, and the only one accorded the honorary “National” status by U.S. Congress. It’s home to more than 500 birds representing more than 150 species - from the adorable African penguins to Kodiak the Stellar’s Sea Eagle, who you may remember gained global attention with his daring escape back in 2021.

Ride the Inclines!

Grandview Ave, Pittsburgh, 15211

At the top of Mt. Washington (near our venue, LeMont) you’ll find the Duquesne and Monongahela inclines. Take a ride on either trolley to scale the mountainside and view the three rivers from a new angle. Don’t forget to visit one of the overlooks while you’re up on the mountain - this vantage point is known worldwide, and has been voted one of the country's most beautiful vista points.
